Proof was my greatest quest throughout my life. That piece of evidence I searched for, always looking out for, that would scratch that persistant itch in my mind. That something that would compel my mind into a state of acceptance about God. I wanted peace of mind about Him and His Word. I wanted to believe. I longed for it. I cryed out for it in lonelyness and in hoplessness, in anger and frustration, again and again but to no avail, I didn’t believe.

How did I know I didn’t believe? I didn’t know. I just knew I didn’t. I needed some proof. I was reasonable about it though. I would have accepted even a little bit, something! I didn’t know what the proof looked like, or what it sounded like; nothing. I was searching for a needle in a haystack in a dark place.

The day I found it is for ever etched on my mind. The excitement! Just Breath! That cogency of evidence! It was small, perhaps insignificant in all ways except it was the proof I had been searching for. It was the very beginning of my trust in His Word. A birth.

This is what my heart desires to share with everyone here at the KU, a gift of infinite value. How to recognize the proof. How to believe!
