I spent the first sixty six years of my life trying to have faith in God, to stop the wanting and become a Christian. The Bible tells us that ‘Trust is the beginning of knowledge and understanding’. Trust in God’s Word is often the result of a Christian upbringing, and the beginning of their knowledge and understanding of the Bible.
Without a Christian upbringing myself I had not learned to ‘trust’ God’s Word, never beginning to have knowledge nor understanding of it; no trust, no faith. One day God’s Word provided recognizable proof and I instantly began to trust it. Trust spawned faith that grew into my spiritual birth and a joy like I had never experienced before.
That joy has moved me to want to spend the rest of my life showing non-Christians how to start trusting His Word, and begin the joy of a homecoming in their heart, mind, and soul.
